The Department of Education (DepEd) has officially adopted the Three-Term School Calendar for School Year 2026–2027 through DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026. For Term 1, classes officially begin on June 8, 2026, and conclude on September 15, 2026. The term includes Opening Block activities, teacher-made summative assessments, term examinations, report card distribution, INSET activities, and wellness breaks for both learners and teachers.
Brigada Eskwela and Enrollment Period
The school year officially begins with Brigada Eskwela and Enrollment Period from June 1–5, 2026. During this period, schools across the country conduct cleanup drives, classroom preparation, enrollment activities, and stakeholder engagement initiatives to ensure readiness for the opening of classes.
This annual bayanihan activity remains a crucial component of school preparedness and community participation.
Opening Block Activities: June 8–11, 2026
Classes formally open on June 8, 2026 with the implementation of the Opening Block, which runs from June 8–11, 2026.
The Opening Block focuses on:
- Learner orientation
- Classroom routines and expectations
- School policies and programs
- Baseline learning activities
- Social-emotional learning and learner adjustment
These activities are designed to help learners transition smoothly into the new school year under the Three-Term School Calendar.

In line with the revised assessment framework under the Three-Term School Calendar, learners will take two teacher-made summative tests during the term:

To support the well-being of both learners and educators, DepEd has scheduled wellness breaks within the End-of-Term Block.

Learners will engage in guided asynchronous learning experiences designed to promote wellness, reflection, and independent learning.
