Filipinos can now enjoy more affordable online government transactions as the Land Bank of the Philippines, more commonly known as LANDBANK, implements zero fees on select person-to-government payments made through QRPh.
The fee waiver will run from June 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, covering eligible online payments to participating government institutions. This initiative is part of LANDBANK’s effort to make digital banking more accessible, affordable, and responsive to the needs of the public, especially amid continuing economic challenges.
More Affordable Government Transactions
Through this program, LANDBANK aims to help Filipinos save on transaction costs when paying for government services online. The zero-fee arrangement applies only to eligible payments made through specific QRPh-enabled channels.
This move also supports the National Government’s broader response to rising costs and global economic pressures. It is aligned with initiatives that seek to expand access to affordable financial services and promote a more inclusive digital economy.
Covered QRPh Payment Channels
The LANDBANK fee waiver applies to government payments made through the following QRPh-enabled channels:
- LANDBANK Link.BizPortal using the QRPh option
- QRPh standees located at participating government institutions
- Government agency websites where LANDBANK Link.BizPortal via QRPh is selected as the payment mode
These channels are intended to make payments faster, easier, and more convenient for the public.
Eligible Government Payments
The zero convenience fee applies to payments made to participating government institutions, including select:
- National Government Agencies
- Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations
- Local Government Units
- Water Districts
- State Universities and Colleges
Among the possible transactions covered are payments for police clearance, real property taxes, business permits, apostille certificates, and other government dues, provided that the payment is made through an eligible QRPh channel.
Important Reminder on Non-Covered Charges
LANDBANK clarified that the fee waiver does not apply to all payment methods. Transactions made through channels other than QRPh are not covered.
In addition, any charges imposed by merchants, service providers, or other third parties, if applicable, will still remain in effect. This means users should carefully check the payment channel before completing their transaction to ensure that the zero-fee benefit applies.
Supporting Digital Financial Inclusion
Finance Secretary and LANDBANK Chair Frederick D. Go said the initiative helps make essential public transactions more accessible at no additional cost. According to him, online transactions with government agencies are now more affordable through LANDBANK’s zero convenience fee program.
LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz also emphasized that the initiative is part of the Bank’s broader goal of bringing more Filipinos into the digital financial ecosystem. By waiving fees for select online government payments, LANDBANK hopes to encourage more people to use safe, convenient, and cash-lite payment options.
Part of LANDBANK’s Wider Efforts to Lower Transaction Costs
The zero-fee program follows another recent move by LANDBANK to reduce digital transaction costs. Effective May 21, 2026, LANDBANK lowered its InstaPay transfer fee from ₱15 to ₱8, giving clients another way to save on digital banking transactions.
Together, these initiatives reflect LANDBANK’s continuing commitment to making financial services more affordable and accessible to Filipinos.
Making Government Payments Easier for Filipinos
As the country’s leading government bank, LANDBANK continues to support a more inclusive and cash-lite economy. By removing fees on select QRPh-enabled online government payments, the Bank is helping Filipinos access public services more conveniently while reducing the cost of essential transactions.
From June 1 to December 31, 2026, individuals paying government fees online are encouraged to check whether the agency accepts LANDBANK Link.BizPortal via QRPh or other covered QRPh payment channels to enjoy the zero-fee benefit.
